Solon

Solon is home to 23,000+ residents and is located in the southeast corner of Cuyahoga County. It’s near Chagrin Falls, Orange and Moreland Hills. Solon was one of the first cities to use a comprehensive zoning plan and has been able to achieve a strong industrial base. It’s home to 800+ businesses including Nestle and Swagelok.

Solon offers a diverse array of housing options, a large recreational center and cultural options through its Solon Arts Center. Solon’s first settler’s arrived in 1820 and the town was named after one of the first settlers, Lorenzo Solon Bull. Besides its industrial areas and bedroom communities, Solon has 687 acres of city parks and recreational area, 360 acres of Cleveland Metroparks and three golf courses. It’s median home value is $274,400 and median household income of $99,050.
